Teghan Stadnyk is a professional fashion designer and studio artist from Toronto, On. Canada.
Her artwork presents a selection of unique compositions through abstraction and impressionistic style. The paintings express movement with rapid, spontaneous, short, loose brushstrokes. The effect is achieved through broken colour, with the help of hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, dry-brushing, and scratching. Stadnyk enjoys working with a variety of mediums, such as acrylics, watercolours and encaustics. Her use of found object depicts meaningful stories, messages and memories.

The Suitcase
From Stadnyk's childhood
As a young child this suitcase traveled everywhere with Teghan. It carried different personal belongings, items she couldn't live without. It also served as a place for little treasures she would collect, while discovering the world around her. She was fascinated with rocks, and would always keep them in her pockets.

This suitcase represents Teghan's curious nature, indicated with a lightbulb illuminating inside. As well as her sense of adventure and travel. When opened, a collection of stones, gems, shells and fragments of tiles are hidden inside.

An accessory Stadnyk often wears
Since the young age of sixteen, Stadnyk decided she wanted to become a fashion designer. This came as no surprise to her family, as her Grandmother had already anticipated that this is what she would likely become. As a young girl she always enjoyed sewing and playing with buttons. Incidentally, this was not made known to Teghan til later in life.
The black wool fedora represents Stadnyks love for quality craftsmanship and passion for fashion.

Teghan learned to sail on her fathers Shark. Spending weekends on the sailboat on Lake Ontario with her family.
